Dear Nobody is a love letter in virtual reality, inviting participants to encounter vulnerability and insecurity with gentleness. An intimate audiovisual environment gives private emotional material a spatial form. Through original sound and visual storytelling, the work asks how an immersive encounter can make room for feelings that are difficult to articulate.
The project grew from personal reflection and a sustained journal practice. Participants move through scenes shaped by emotion, encountering a character whose story becomes an invitation to consider their own thoughts and memories. Iterative playtesting informed both the interaction and the language of the experience, keeping attention on the emotional encounter. Yiting developed the visual world, interactions, and sound as an interconnected artistic practice.

Process & research.
Journaling, philosophical reading, and repeated playtesting shaped the work. Later iterations reduced visual clutter and made the text more spatial and poetic, so technical interaction could recede behind the participant’s experience.
