LifelinesAR translates personal life events into a spatial environment for reflection. Developed as a collaborative augmented-reality prototype, it lets participants view, organize, and revisit memories in physical space. A life narrative becomes something a person can move around, making relationships between experiences visible from more than one perspective.
The project incorporates emotion mapping and embodied exercises, asking how a spatial interface might support care and attentive conversation. Its central interest is the relationship between memory, the body, and another person’s presence. Developed for Microsoft HoloLens 2 at MIT Reality Hack in 2022, LifelinesAR received a Wellness Prize. Yiting served as lead developer and designer, translating the collaborative concept into a working experience.
