Case Study · Creative Technology + Event Infrastructure

Built the digital engine behind a sponsor-backed NYC design platform.

Future of NYC Design needed to feel credible before the room existed. I built the public site, payments and email backend, sponsor context, automation tooling, and recap-ready event system that turned an AI, design, and culture idea into a room people could trust, attend, share, and fund.

300+

attendees in the room

53

site pages shipped

328

branded share cards rendered

20

speakers and judges onboarded

228.2K

Instagram visibility delivered

63k

LinkedIn reach delivered

Impact first

What the system made possible.

01

Turned an independent design gathering into a sponsor-backed AI, design, and culture platform during NYCxDESIGN and NYC AI Week.

02

Gave sponsors a measurable story by connecting check-ins, tracked promo codes, social reach, and post-event recap evidence.

03

Made the room credible to designers, founders, educators, artists, and creative technologists through speakers and judges from Google, IBM, AIGA NY, Fashion Institute of Technology, Cisco, Duolingo, and the wider NYC design community.

04

Created a repeatable public-facing system: website, program surfaces, sponsor assets, speaker onboarding, partner pages, social cards, venue screens, and recap materials.

What I built

A public website that also worked as the event operating system.

  • 53-page public site with agenda, speakers, awards, sponsor, vendor, and partner pages.
  • Production Cloudflare Worker for Stripe purchases, webhook reconciliation, Resend email, and KV-backed event logic.
  • Google Sheets and Apps Script operations layer so a small, non-technical team could manage live event data.
  • Custom automation skills for speaker, partner, sponsor, and email-template workflows across 20 speakers and 10+ community partners and sponsors.
  • One-command partner and speaker onboarding linked to Stripe coupon and promo-code setup, site pages, share assets, outreach copy, email templates, and JSON-LD from a single source of truth.
  • Headless rendering pipeline that produced 328 branded share cards across multiple formats for speakers, partners, countdowns, and sponsor moments.
  • Password-gated sponsor recap that paired check-in and promo-code data with the visibility and reach delivered across Instagram, LinkedIn, and onsite surfaces.

System demos

The backstage system that made the public room feel real.

These clips show the working infrastructure behind the conference: onboarding, promo generation, email previews, awards context, and custom branded speaker slides. The video assets shown here were generated from custom automation skills built to handle implementation across 20 speakers, 10+ community partners and sponsors, reusable email templates, promo assets, and program surfaces. The point was not a website in isolation. It was a coordinated public-facing system that helped people understand, trust, attend, fund, and share the event.

Demo 01

Speaker onboarding system

A walkthrough of the custom onboarding skill that connected speaker, partner, and sponsor records to the backend: Stripe coupon and promo-code creation, Google Sheets ops data, site content, JSON-LD, outreach copy, Resend-ready email templates, and program assets.

Shows the operational layer behind the public polish: Cloudflare Worker logic, Stripe-linked attribution, fewer manual handoffs, cleaner data for 20 speakers and 10+ partners and sponsors, and faster promotion.

Demo 02

Social promo share-card pipeline

A look at the branded card skill used to generate sponsor, speaker, partner, countdown, and recap assets from one structured source.

Shows how the event created measurable visibility without treating social assets as one-off manual design tasks.

Demo 03

Email preview and outreach templates

A preview of the email template system used to package speaker, sponsor, partner, and attendee-facing communications with consistent event context.

Shows how the backend workflow extended into Resend-ready communication assets, so outreach stayed on-brand and operationally repeatable.

Demo 04

Design awards and community context

A walkthrough of the awards and community-facing surfaces generated from the same structured implementation flow.

Shows how the platform supported more than logistics: it gave the room a reason to gather and share.

Demo 05

Custom branded speaker slides

A preview of the customized branded slide assets generated for every speaker and the design conference program.

Shows how the conference identity carried from the website into the stage, speaker intros, and live program.

Skills underneath the outcome

Creative technology for live, sponsor-funded AI moments.

The value was not just a polished site. It was the connective tissue between an AI-era cultural thesis, audience demand, sponsor proof, speaker credibility, partner attribution, and the onsite experience.
